Difference a shield and an earth

We distinguish a shield and an earth from the construction and the purpose.

*1 SHIELD

Shield (code name E ), they are some kind of metallic board that intercept magnetism between primary coil and secondary coil, or other equipments.
Shield is also protecting loads when the transformer catching an unusual voltage, such as thunder impulse. There is caught in the coil.

*2 EARTH

Earth (code name G ) is attached the cores or the clamp of the transformer.
The earth is removed static electricity from transformer with the aim of protecting users.
